Hogholm Stables was awarded BHS Approved Yard & Facility Hire Highly Commended status in 2011 and was the only Scottish yard to be nominated for Outstanding Performance in Autumn 2010.

 

Run by riders for riders, Hogholm Stables is conveniently located only 2½ miles from Kintore and Inverurie, and 15 miles from Aberdeen city centre. Sited in beautiful countryside with wonderful views of Bennachie and the rolling Garioch landscape, the yard offers easy access to all the main competition centres in North East Scotland.

 

Top class facilities are complemented by experienced, friendly staff. The owners, Lorna Anderson and Steve Redgrave, live on site, which – together with a CCTV security system – offers clients’ peace of mind that their horses live on a professionally-run secure yard with 24/7 cover.

 

The yard is run with two principles in mind: safety and fun. Simple yard rules – available on request – ensure that everyone, whether two-legged or four-legged, enjoys their time at Hogholm.

 Hogholm Farm Stables has been nominated by the BHS Regional Inspector for ‘outstanding performance’, as reported in the BHS Approved Establishments Owners Outlook magazine in September 2010. Six establishments were nominated country-wide, with Hogholm being the only Scottish – let alone Aberdeenshire-based – yard.
