Run by riders for riders, Hogholm Stables is conveniently located only 2½ miles from Kintore and Inverurie, and 15 miles from Aberdeen city centre. Sited in beautiful countryside with wonderful views of Bennachie and the rolling Garioch landscape, the yard offers easy access to all the main competition centres in North East Scotland. A BHS Approved Livery Yard since 2003, Hogholm is a secure yard with the owners, Lorna Anderson and Steve Redgrave, living on site.

 

The yard is run with two principles in mind: safety and fun. Simple yard rules – available on request – ensure that everyone, whether two-legged or four-legged, enjoys their time at Hogholm.

 

Every horse has its own spacious stable, with rubber matting, Haybar, tying points and rug rail, in purpose-built modern American barns. With livery stabling for 23 horses, plus the owners’ horses, the yard is large enough to be sociable but small enough to be friendly.

 

The excellent riding facilities – 63x20m indoor school with mirrors, 60x20m floodlit outdoor arena with mirrors, 50x45m outdoor sand school and 20m round pen - are complemented by varied hacking and field riding.

 

The yard’s owner, Lorna Anderson, not only coaches dressage test riding, but also hosts regular Clinics with top flatwork trainers from the UK and Europe. Livery clients are also welcome to bring in their own trainers.

Luxury 9-box American barn, with loo and tackroom, for rent on this top quality BHS Approved Livery Yard with indoor school, two outdoor schools and round pen. The rental package includes 5 acres of clean grazing, more available if required.

Easy access to main competition yards. Available from April 2010, suit serious amateur or professional.

Comfortable 4/5-bed farmhouse with all mod cons may also be available on the equestrian centre site. References required for both.
